From what did i hear and read these problems are mostly because of the power saving the drivers try to make/change on the Nvidia video cards so i tried to give My three cores are at 20 C according to the programs and my GPU is 29 C is bit high, but I do game a good amount. or the OS....or both. Still a serious inconvenience though.

Some of which are much higher demanding games resources wise.

I really don't think graphics card overheating is the problem at all. The frame rate / lag was crazy. solved (Geforce 8800GT) Display driver has crashed and recovered. Tech Support Guy is completely free -- paid for by advertisers and donations. I've had old cards run 85C+ with no issues like this. AMD R9 200 series with windows 10.Crashes all the time and it is unpredictable. Just noticed you tried theme so give a go at driver rollback. I hate these random unexplained problems.
