It peeves me that I have to underclock the card to get it working correctly, but at least it's working.

It was confusing to me when I posted this (2-3 years ago).Running on 64bit processors does not mean that you have to store all registry values as 64bit. reboot again & you must not have problem again excuse me for my bad english. I usually ran my PC with 2x24" Viewsonic HD LCD monitors...I sold them, and ordered 2 IPS monitors. Rebooted and stressed the system with Prime95 and loaded IE and tried closing the windows, then it had some micro freezes then the display driver crashed.
Then reboot as prompted. The black screen flicker and the error “Display driver NVIDIA……” is gone. Having said that tho Dragon age 2 just came out and has awful issues with DX11 and Nvidia drivers LOL. It has an XFX Radeon HD 6870. after the install finishes reboot your rig as prompted and this time boot normally we will N0T be going back into safe mode.
