Digi 002 Coreaudio Driver Lion
A: The Digidesign CoreAudio Driver has not been tested with the d24 card, and therefore that configuration is not supported. Also, and much less likely to get an answer, has anyone tried the Symphony Mobile ExpressCard in Lion yet? I had the same problem as you with the same set up. I did a search online about the Digi 002 with Lion and found this link (below) and installed the most recent core audio driver for the 002. That's what worked for me. We recommend that you use the correct version of the driver for your version of Mac OS X. http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/Download/Digi-002-003-Drivers

- You gonna love GUI in PT 9 and the iMAc is awesome.
- The sound will always play back though the Macintosh’s built-in audio controller (through the Macintosh’s speaker or headphone jack).
- A: The Digidesign CoreAudio Driver for Mac OS X does not support playback of system sounds.

As far I can tell, Logic will work fine with OS 10.7 Lion and the Digi 002 Rack so long as I download the free driver, correct? This preview bar lets you audition the sound file. I had the same problem; it was old Digidesign drivers that caused it. The boiled down question is, can the digi 002 be used as a standalone audio/midi interface for Logic Express (or any other DAW) with OS Lion?
