In the Audio MIDI Setup app, you can see the 002, and even select "Configure Speakers..." and see the whole list of outputs. I am using OS 10.8.2 (latest version) on a Mac Book Pro Retina. Good luck and thank you. But if ProTools still runs on your current OS I can't think of any reason why any Logic version whouldn't.Have a nice day!

You can use the 002 just fine, except no MIDI port. Optionally, you can set up a stereo aux track on your DAW with 7/8 as the input.
