The Digidesign CoreAudio Driver can be installed as a stand-alone driver on systems that do not have Pro Tools installed. A: The Digidesign CoreAudio Driver for Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger" has not been tested with Mac OS X 10.3 or 10.2. Pro Tools requires exclusive access to Digidesign hardware and thus it cannot be used simultaneously with other CoreAudio applications.
